The Nicaraguan president, Daniel Ortega, led this Wednesday, May 24, the act of delivery of the buses to the transport cooperatives of the country.
During the event, held in the capital Managua and in which the vice president, Rosario Murillo, also participated, Ortega said that the donation of the vehicles occurs “at a time when events are being held there in Russia, in Moscow and in other cities for sovereignty, for peace, for development […] even to strengthen cultural ties”.
The president specified that with this second batch, there are already 300 vehicles sent by Russia so far in 2023, donated by Moscow to improve the transportation service in the country.
In this sense, he asserted that Russia and China are currently “the great conductors” of the world that work for strengthen the regional fronts that have developedincluding the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
“I would say, Russia and China are the great drivers at this time, to strengthen the other fronts that have been developing, including here in Latin America and the Caribbean, CELAC. Because they have been getting closer to working, without conditions. And it is there that, for this reason, we can ensure that a new reality is being configured in the world, where imperialist hegemony is going to be buried and democracy is going to be established among the peoples, respect for sovereignty, cooperation, taking into account account the asymmetries”, stressed the president.
In this sense, Ortega declared that these new blocs “that are increasing” made up of countries far from the dictates of the West “are already determining the new course in the history of humanity.”
