Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu traveled to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, ostensibly to obtain weapons. This assumption was made by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. He thinks that Russia needs weapons from the Democratic People’s Republic of China to continue the special operation in Ukraine.

“I strongly doubt that he (Shoigu – approx. URA.RU) was on vacation there. <…> We see that Russia is trying to get support in arms everywhere to continue the fighting in Ukraine <…> We see this in North Korea,” Blinken said at a press conference. His words are published on the official website the US government.

Shoigu flew to North Korea on July 25 to participate in celebrationsdedicated to the anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the war of 1950-1953. During the trip, he met with Kim Jong Un. They are together visited the exhibition the latest weapons of the DPRK. There, the leader of North Korea showed Shoigu secret dronessimilar to the American MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-4 Global Hawk.
