Russia withdrew from the grain export agreement following the attack on the Kerch bridge in Crimea, which is crucial to the movement of Russian troops into Ukraine. This is a UN-brokered agreement for grain exports from Ukraine following the war began. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Russia’s withdrawal from the accord was a “huge blow” and would lead to starvation around the world.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that troops had advanced 2 kilometers in the northeastern region. It is near the railway hub of Kupyansk, which Ukraine recaptured from Russia last year.
