From Ukraine, the Government assured that the units of the Wagner mercenary group have been replaced by russian regular troops in the suburbs of the city of Bakhmut.
The foregoing, following the leader of the Russian private military company announced the start of the transfer of their positions the army.
This was confirmed by the Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister, Hanna Malyarwho qualified that “the Wagnerites” are still present in the interior of this eastern city devastated Ukraine following months of heavy fighting.
Prior to this, through a video posted on his Telegram channel, the head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhinannounced the beginning of the withdrawal of his units from the city of Bakhmut and the transfer of their positions to the troops of the Russian army.
Let us remember that, following almost ten months of fighting and following announcing the full catch de Bajmut, Prigozhin declared that his troops would withdraw from today to training camps in rear areas, following completing his mission.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, from kyiv they assure that their troops are still resisting in some areas of the city.

For his part, The United States estimated Russian losses at almost 100,000 in the battle of Bakhmut.
