Three Russian tennis players reached the 1/8 finals of Roland Garros

Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova failed to reach the fourth round of Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season.
In the third round, the 28-year-old Russian woman, seeded at the tournament under the 23rd number, lost to the Brazilian Beatriz Addad-Maya, the 14th racket of the world, with a score of 7:5, 4:6, 5:7.
The next opponent of the Brazilian will be Spaniard Sara Sorribes-Tormo. Addad Maia defeated Russian Diana Schneider in the second round.
One of the favorites of Roland Garros Rybakin withdrew from the tournament
Alexandrova is the 23rd racket of the world and the fourth – of Russia. She has three WTA titles to her credit.
Of the Russians in the 1/8 finals of Roland Garros, only Elina Avanesyan (playing with Czech Karolina Muchova), Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (with Belgian Elise Mertens) and Daria Kasatkina (with Ukrainian Elina Svitolina) left. Only Karen Khachanov remained in the men’s bracket, who will face Italian Lorenzo Sonego.
Roland Garros will end on June 11th. The total prize fund of the tournament is €49.6 million.
