Only two Russian tennis players reached the third round of Roland Garros

Russian tennis player Aslan Karatsev was unable to break into the 1/16 finals of Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season, which takes place in Paris. Thus, only Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev made it to the third round of the men’s singles out of five Russians.

In the second round match, Karatsev, ranked 62nd in the ATP rankings, lost to Francis Tiafoe (USA, 12) with a score of 6:3, 3:6, 5:7, 2:6.

In the third round, Tiafoe’s opponent will be the winner of the meeting between the representative of Germany Alexander Zverev (27) and the Slovak Alex Molchan (86).

Sobolenko did not answer questions from the Ukrainian media at Roland Garros

Earlier, Karen Khachanov and Andrei Rublev advanced to the 1/16 finals.
