Russian tennis player Polina Kudermetova failed to reach the second round of the WTA tournament in Berlin.
In the opening match, the 20-year-old Russian woman, who made it to the main draw through the qualification, lost to the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina, the third racket of the world, with a score of 4:6, 2:6.
The next rival of Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon champion, will be the Croatian Donna Vekic, who defeated the Russian woman Varvara Gracheva.

Kudermetova takes 139th place in the world ranking. Last week in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, she won her first WTA main draw match.
The tournament in Berlin will end on June 25th. The prize fund of the competition is €678,000.
Veronika Kudermetova, Polina’s older sister and world No. 13, will face China’s Zheng Qinwen in the first round in Berlin on Tuesday. The Fonbet betting company accepts bets on the victory of the Russian woman with a coefficient of 1.55, the Chinese woman – 2.45.
