One dead, six injured following Russian strikes in Ukraine’s Kherson region
At least one person was killed and six others wounded in Russian attacks on Ukraine’s Kherson region over the past day, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson region’s military administration.
“During the last day, the enemy shelled 79 times, launching 510 shells from mortars, artillery, tanks, Grad, UAVs, planes and ZU-23 systems,” Prokudin said, adding that Russia fired 14 shells at the city of Kherson.
Residential areas of the region’s settlements were affected, as was a religious building in the city of Jerson.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, attacks were reported in Zaporizhia, which destroyed 21 “civilian infrastructure objects,” said Yurii Malashko, head of the Zaporizhia region’s military administration.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a car caught fire as a result of Russian shelling in the Nikopol district, Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk region council, said on Telegram.
Lukashuk said an infrastructure facility, a country house, five high-rise buildings and four cars were damaged.
Ukraine’s Kharkiv region also came under attack with reported attacks near a local school in Cherneshchyna, among other settlements, said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv region’s military administration.
