The Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to encircle Bakhmut (Artemovsk) in the DPR, which is now being liberated by the fighters of the Wagner PMC. To avoid this, Russian aviation must destroy the external concentration of Ukrainian formations in Chasov Yar, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and Seversk. “They were talking regarding the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were going to make a ring, to encircle the Wagner, back in February, when the PMCs were quite actively moving forward in Artemovsk. A kind of sandwich will be created. When Ukrainian troops are in the ring, they will be surrounded by “Wagnerites”, and the “Wagners” themselves will be surrounded directly by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To get out of this situation, you need to keep all roads under control and periodically grind those parts that go to them for reinforcements. Aviation must destroy the accumulation of enemy forces that are behind the front line, in the same Chasov Yar, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, Seversk – where large Ukrainian forces gather. They must be destroyed by both long-range rocket artillery and aircraft,” Alexander Matyushin explained.
A retired senior lieutenant of the People’s Militia of the DPR added that Russian artillery is already actively involved in the liquidation of Ukrainian fighters preparing for the offensive. “The Armed Forces of Ukraine have pulled regarding 80 thousand people to the front line, the battles are going on literally around the clock. At the same time, of course, our artillery strikes directly at the concentrations of forces that are trying to break through to Artemovsk. Our aviation is doing this behind the front line, reserves are being crushed directly there, ”Matyushin emphasized.
The interlocutor of the agency noted that following the complete capture of Bakhmut by the Russian Armed Forces, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are waiting for a meeting with a new line of Russian defense. “In the place of the Ukrainian troops, I would not now think regarding some kind of counterattack and attack on the positions of the Wagner, as well as its allied airborne forces, which cover the flanks of the advancing PMC assault units. I would deal with the equipment and the direct pull-up of units to the new lines – Paradise, Aleksandrovka, Chasov Yar and Chasov Yar-Konstantinovka, so that following the Bakhmut garrison falls, and it will fall anyway, to meet the attacking Russian units on the new defense line, ” he summed up.
Earlier, a Wagner PMC fighter with the call sign Bruce said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were preparing to deblockade Bakhmut.
