Video cards continue to get cheaper all over the world. About the huge collapse in prices for graphics accelerators in China, we wrote earlier, and now fresh statistics from Germany and Austria from 3DCenter have arrived – there video cards are also already below the recommended price. In addition, video cards have also fallen in price in Russia – especially AMD solutions, which are close to the recommended price tags.
Also in last month The price of the latest generation AMD video cards in Germany and Austria turned out to be lower than the recommended one – by an average of 8%. But NVIDIA graphics still cost a little more in stores – 102% of the recommended price. Now both “red” and “green” accelerators are sold cheaper than AMD and NVIDIA installed. As of July 10, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards are priced at an average of 3% off MSRP and AMD Radeon RX 6000-series at 12%.
Among AMD video cards, the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6600 and RX 6500 XT look the most attractive – they are respectively 20, 23 and 27 percent cheaper than the recommended price (from 939, 295 and 169 euros, respectively). But the Radeon RX 6800 XT is still sold with an extra charge – only 1% (from 769 euros).
As for NVIDIA video cards, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti fell the most here – it is sold 22% cheaper than the recommended price (for 1099 euros). At the same time, the GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti are still sold at inflated prices – + 10 and + 7% to the recommended ones (from 319 and 499 euros, respectively).
In Russia, video cards are also generally getting cheaper. For example, the GeForce RTX 3090 can already be found in Russian stores at prices starting from 155 thousand rubles. Although it is still more expensive than the recommended 130 thousand rubles. But even on June 1, the prices of this video card were closer to 190-200 thousand rubles. The more popular GeForce RTX 3080 can already be bought for 85 thousand rubles, with 63,490 rubles recommended at the start of sales. “People’s” GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 3060 can now be found at prices of regarding 35 and 53 thousand rubles, respectively, and this is much more expensive than the recommended 24,900 and 31,800 rubles, respectively.
But with AMD video cards, the situation is much better. The flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT is now on sale for 95 thousand rubles, which is almost equal to the recommended 92,990 rubles. Finding a more beloved Radeon RX 6800 XT in Russia is not easy right now. Radeon RX 6700 XT is still quite expensive, regarding 60 thousand rubles. But the Radeon RX 6500 XT can be bought for 18.5 thousand rubles, when its recommended price is 17,999 rubles.
In general, of course, compared to the March peaks, when individual video cards were offered for 500 thousand rubles, the prices for video cards in Russia now look much more attractive. The more expensive models are getting cheaper, while the more affordable ones show stability and have even gained a little in price in recent days. But in general, you can see that the range of video cards has become much more modest – many popular models are problematic to find. It is difficult to say how the situation will develop further, because it largely depends on the increase in parallel imports and the ruble exchange rate.
