While recently announcing that his paramilitary group had captured the city of Bakhmout, Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigojine had some good words for the Ukrainian army, remarks that surprised many.

In a lengthy interview posted on Telegram, Prigozhin called Volodymyr Zelensky’s army one of the best on the planet.
“She has a great level of organization, a great level of training, a great level of intelligence and several types of armaments. In general they [l’armée ukrainienne] work with all types of equipment: Soviet, NATO, everything – with great success,” he says in an exchange with a war correspondent.
“The special military operation was launched to denazify [l’Ukraine]. We have made Ukraine a nation that is known all over the world,” he said.
Internet users are surprised to see the Russian entrepreneur make these comments.

Recall that the leader of Wagner plans to withdraw his troops from Bakhmout by June 1 to take a “rest”. Regular Russian army troops should take over, he said.
