Data from the State Statistics Office (Rostat) showed today, Wednesday, that Russia’s production of oil and gas condensate rose to 43.8 million tons, or 10.7 million barrels per day, in June, from 10.21 million barrels per day in May.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has already given a figure of 10.7 million barrels per day for the month of June, indicating that the country’s energy and fuel situation remains stable, despite the sanctions imposed by the West on his country over its war in Ukraine.
The Statistics Office also said that oil production, excluding gas condensate, amounted to 40.7 million tons last month, up 2.3% from both June 2021 and May 2022.
The Russian government has released few statistics on oil and gas since April, following Moscow launched what it calls a “special military operation” in Ukraine on February 24.
The statistics office said Russia’s natural gas production fell 23.2 percent year on year in June to 39.26 billion cubic meters. Production has fallen almost 20% from May.
