The Russian government has not updated the number of casualties since it reported that 498 soldiers were killed and 1597 were injured on March 2.
A spokesman for the Presidential Office of Peskov said in a telephone conference on the 22nd that he did not know the number of casualties and declined to comment on the article by Komsomolskaya Prouda.
