Russian MP responds strongly to Borrell’s call to attack Russia

This was announced by Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, who told RIA Novosti: “At the end of his service in his current position, Borrell is not actively involved in extinguishing the fire of the Ukrainian conflict, but is deeply involved in inciting a third world war.”

The parliamentarian believes that Borrell is experiencing a severe state of schizophrenia and mental dissonance. On the one hand, he declares that no one in Europe wants to fight with Russia, and on the other hand, he calls for lifting the collective restrictions of the West and allowing Ukrainian forces to bomb deep into Russian territory.

Slutsky stressed that if the Ukrainians launch attacks on Russian territory with long-range European and American missiles, this will inevitably lead to a more serious escalation. The Russian parliamentarian said that such calls do not befit the status of the head of European diplomacy, but are more suitable for the leader of an international terrorist gang.

Josep Borrell said last Thursday that European Union countries must completely lift restrictions on Ukrainian forces’ use of Western weapons when striking Russian territory.

Borrell considered that the European Union countries’ permission for Kiev to use European weapons to strike deep inside Russia does not mean “entering into a war with Moscow.”

For its part, Russia asserts that arms supplies to Ukraine are contrary to the settlement, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and are “playing with fire.”
