Il-76 aircraft took off on the morning of November 5 to Egypt from Grozny International Airport.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will deliver humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip. The assistance was organized at the direction of President Vladimir Putin and on behalf of the head of the department, Alexander Kurenkov.
“Il-76 aircraft of the emergency department took off from Grozny International Airport to the Arab Republic of Egypt,” the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement. – Here Russian humanitarian aid will be transferred to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society. They will redirect it to the people of the Gaza Strip.
It is clarified that the humanitarian cargo, which weighs 60 tons, includes food, mattresses, pillows and personal hygiene products.
This is not the first time humanitarian aid has been sent from Russia to the population of the Gaza Strip. Let us remind you that on October 19, an Il-76 of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered 27 tons of flour, sugar, rice and pasta to Egypt.
As previously reported, the number of Russians killed during the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has risen to 23.
