A Russian marine biologist exploded a surprise following presenting a new theory regarding the killing of his compatriot last week, revealing that the killer shark had precedents from last year.

Dmitry Orlov explained that the shark that killed the Russian tourist in Egypt a few days ago was suspected of having killed two people before him last summer, and that she was pregnant.

The scientist, the founder and CEO of RuDIVE, which operates in the Red Sea, suspected that the shark killed two tourists last year, according to the British newspaper, The Mirror.

He also explained that the first incident occurred in July last year, when the shark attacked the 68-year-old Austrian tourist, Elisabeth Sauer, while she was diving.

The second victim was the Romanian tourist, who was eaten alive by the shark 650 feet offshore.

In addition, Orlov said that he believed that the killer shark was pregnant last year when the two incidents occurred, noting that she became pregnant once more, and “because she might not chase and catch fish, she came once more to remember a place where she got easy prey.”

It is noteworthy that the accident of the Russian tourist occurred in a tourist resort in Hurghada, last Thursday, June 8, 2023, when a killer shark attacked a 23-year-old Russian tourist and tore him in two in front of his father and the rest of the tourist group that was present on the beach at this terrifying moment.

But the rescue teams later caught the shark, and it turned out to be a tiger shark.
