2023-11-17 10:12:00

The Central Bank (CB) of the Russian Federation does not comment on the increase in Russian investment in US government debt. The regulator reported this.

“Only the US Treasury can comment on information on the volume of investments of various countries in these securities,” the Central Bank reports to RBC. They added that the Bank of Russia does not purchase US treasury bonds.

RF doubled investments in US government bonds to $73 million in September, up from $31 million in August. Long-term bonds raised $61 million, and short-term bonds raised $12 million, according to the US Treasury.
