Askaldovich pointed out in an interview with the “Novosti” agency that unfriendly countries are standing by as spectators to the Kiev regime’s persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church affiliated with the Moscow Patriarchate, as Russia’s enemies seek to eliminate everything that is Russian in Ukraine and the Russian world.

He added: “The United States has been planning for a long time to eliminate the Russian Orthodox faith in Ukraine, while the Patriarchate of Constantinople has contributed in every possible way to creating a church that broke away from the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine and granting it recognition.” Washington and the Church of Constantinople are directly responsible for the discord in the Orthodox Church in Ukraine.”

The Kiev regime continues to persecute followers of the Russian Orthodox Church, pursuing and arresting clergy, and launching raids on churches and monasteries in search of evidence of “anti-Ukrainian activities.”

The Kiev regime’s Nazi groups took over hundreds of Russian Orthodox churches and monasteries in Ukraine, wreaking havoc on their contents and assaulting clergy and worshipers by beating, cursing, and insulting them in full view of Zelensky’s police and the cameras of his Western allies.

The Kiev regime also recently imposed a complete ban on the activity of the Moscow Patriarchate, claiming its “collaboration with Russia,” in a flagrant violation of the bonds of brotherhood and the unity of religion and history in Russia and Ukraine.
