Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to the capital of Baghdad Iraq February 5th to discuss Bilateral relations and energy cooperation.

According to the plan, Russian Foreign Minister will meet with his host country counterpart Fuad Hussein on February 6.

Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhafm said the focus of the visit was on “strategic relations between Russia and Iraq, as well as promoting investment opportunities, especially related to the energy sector.”
On February 6, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov will also have a series of meetings with senior Iraqi leaders, including Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani, President Abdul Latif Rashid and Speaker of the National Assembly. .
