Russia – The Public Relations Center of the Russian Federal Security Service reported that Russian forces confronted a group of saboteurs and foreign mercenaries who attempted to penetrate the Bryansk region.
According to the Federal Security Service: “As a result of the clash, four terrorists were eliminated, and the remnants of the withdrawing group were subjected to missile and artillery bombardment.”
Foreign weapons and communications equipment were found among the eliminated mercenaries. In addition, they had with them their personal belongings: a Canadian flag, a religious book in Polish, and a notebook with notes on tactical training in English, which indicated their belonging to third countries.
A tattoo of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment of the US Army Special Forces Parachute Reconnaissance Regiment was also observed on the body of one of the foreign mercenaries.
The operation was carried out on October 27, in the Klimovsky region, by officers of the Border Directorate of the Federal Security Service of the Bryansk Province, in conjunction with units of the Armed Forces and the Russian Guard.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in a press conference today that Western military personnel have been operating in Ukraine for a long time, and this is part of a hybrid war between NATO and the European Union against Russia.
The Foreign Minister noted that President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly made specific statements that military personnel of Western armies, mercenaries and volunteers, as well as direct trainers, without whom it is impossible to use Western long-range weapons, are fighting in the ranks of Ukrainian forces.
