Russian forces are close to cutting off Bakhmut’s supply lines

According to Russian reports and media, Russian forces and Wagner forces are close to cutting off full military supply lines for Ukrainian forces in the city of Bakhmut, while they continue to advance north of the city, on the E40 road leading to Slaviansk.

A source in the Russian “Wagner” forces announced that the Russian army is regarding to cut off the railways and the only remaining land route to supply the Ukrainian forces in the city of Chasev Yar, and from there to Bakhmut, according to what Russian media reported.

The source said, “This is the western side of Bakhmut, in front of you is the city of Chasev Yar, and 3 kilometers away is the railway that provides the Ukrainian forces with reinforcements,” stressing that the “Wagner” forces are actively advancing northwest of Bakhmut, and continue to cut off the supply lines of the Ukrainian forces.

The founder of the Russian “Wagner” forces, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced earlier that the situation in Bakhmut is very difficult and that Kiev continues to send reinforcements to it, while the Russian forces continue to advance in the city.

Battle of Bakhmut

Activists reported that the Russian forces are advancing north and south of the city, indicating that the process of storming the “Azum” iron and steel factory in the city has begun, noting that the battles are continuing from house to house and street to street in Bakhmut.

Reports said that Russian forces and Wagner’s forces advanced in the Bodonivka neighborhood and took control of most of the Mariupol cemetery.

It also achieved limited progress towards Korsinskoho Street in Bakhmut, but the Ukrainian forces succeeded in stopping the advance of the Russian forces.

Wagner’s forces and the Russian forces also made progress north of Bakhmut near Orekhovo, Vasilievka and Zaleznyansky, on the E40 road leading to Slavyansk.

Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack south of the town of Ivanevsky, to the southwest of Bakhmut, capturing some positions.

Meanwhile, fierce battles are taking place near Avdiivka, and Russian forces are making slow progress in the eastern and northern suburbs, especially near Kamyanka and Krasnogorivka.

Yesterday, Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of regarding 190 Ukrainian soldiers and the destruction of 20 pieces of Ukrainian military equipment during Sunday.

The Russian Defense said in its daily report: “As a result of the active operations carried out by units of the Southern Grouping of Russian Forces, air sorties and artillery fire on the Donetsk axis, regarding 190 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 3 tanks, two armored fighting vehicles, 14 vehicles and a Msta-B howitzer were destroyed during the past day.” “.
