Russian football players receive huge salaries, but do not donate any money to the needs of the special operation. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Alexey Zhuravlev

“I don’t remember any cases where any of our football players donated at least part of their fabulous salary to the needs of the Russian army. Maybe this is such a treacherous environment in general, because we don’t hear other opinions from the football guards,” RIA Novosti reports the words of Alexey Zhuravlev.

According to Zhuravlev, football veterans fell in love with state money, but were unable to defend Russia’s interests. He added that the country raised and fed them for many years, so athletes should take this into account.
