The Russian fleet, together with air defense forces, repelled a massive drone attack on the city.

Nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack Sevastopol last night. He announced this in his telegram channels Mayor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

“Our fleet, in cooperation with air defense forces, this night repelled an attack by enemy UAVs on Sevastopol over the sea in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bCape Khersones, in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe Sevastopol Bay and Balaklava,” Razvozhaev wrote on July 16.

He added that one drone was destroyed in the area of ​​Cape Manganari.

In total, two UAVs were shot down over the sea and five were suppressed by electronic warfare forces. Also, two surface drones on the outer roadstead were destroyed.

The attack was massive and prolonged. For all targets, the Russian military worked over the sea, and on the way to the bays.

– I emphasize: no objects either in the city or in the water area were damaged. Our military confidently and calmly repulsed the attack of enemy drones on Sevastopol,” Razvozhaev emphasized. – From all Sevastopol residents – thank you for your service!

He also noted that the city is quiet and everything is calm. The air situation is being monitored. All operational services at the ready.

Earlier, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that on the night of May 25, drone attacks on the city were repelled – the fleet shot down two drones, drowned out a few more and landed them with electronic warfare.

Recall that on the morning of May 24, the Ivan Khurs ship, which ensures the safety of the operation of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the economic zone of Turkey, tried to attack three drone boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All enemy boats were destroyed by fire from the weapons of the Russian ship. “Ivan Khurs” continues to fulfill the assigned tasks.
