A fuel depot in Orel, a Russian city located regarding 160 km from the Ukrainian border, was attacked early Tuesday by a drone which started a fire, announced the regional governor, Andrei Klychkov.

“A drone crashed in Orel. A fuel and energy complex was attacked. Special services are working on the scene to contain the fire. There are no victims,” Mr. Klytchkov wrote on his Telegram account.
According to an emergency services official cited by the Ria Novosti agency, a tank containing petroleum products caught fire. Local media reported that the attack happened around 3 a.m. (midnight GMT).
Ukrainian drones also attacked the Russian region of Belgorod, near the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, without causing any injuries according to the regional governor who added that a power line was damaged.
“The Belgorod region was attacked by the Ukrainian armed forces using drones which dropped four explosive devices,” Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram.
According to him, seven municipalities are without electricity because of this attack.
Furthermore, a drone was destroyed above the Tula region, south of Moscow, according to the regional Security Ministry cited by the Tass agency. The governor of the Kursk region, also located near the border with Ukraine, announced that two Ukrainian drones had been shot down by Russian defense.
Since the start of the Russian offensive once morest Kyiv at the end of February 2022, the Ukrainian army has managed to carry out drone attacks further and further into Russian territory.
On Saturday, Russia claimed to have destroyed 47 Ukrainian drones overnight, mainly in the Rostov-on-Don region, bordering Ukraine, an attack which might have targeted, among other things, an aviation factory.
