Russia – The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed some tactical technical specifications for the Russian “Kurir” tracked combat robot that was recently tested in the “Avdiivka” operational axis.
Colonelcassad Telegram channel reported that the Korir tracked land drone weighs 250 kilograms. Its dimensions are not large, with a length of 1400 mm, a width of 1200 mm, a height of 580 mm, a maximum speed of up to 35 km/h, an operating period of 12 to 72 hours, and a control distance of up to 10 kilometers.
The fighting robot may be armed with various weapons. For example, during the battles in the “Avdiivka” axis, the robot used 30 mm grenade launchers of the АГС-17 model with an ammunition stock of 150 rounds. There is another model that used a 12.7 mm “Auteus” machine gun with 250 rounds of ammunition.
Such a tracked robot may become a real killer for Abrams, Leopard-2, T-64PV, and other tanks, if anti-tank guided missiles are used. These robots can also be transformed into equipment carrying electronic warfare devices or equipment. Laying mines.
All of this indicates that such robotic equipment will appear more and more on battlefields, and we will soon see medium- and heavy-weight robots alongside light combat robots.
