Russian Defense in the harvest of the last week of the special operation: Ukraine’s losses amounted to 16.8 thousand soldiers

The Russian Defense Ministry report said that from September 14 to 20, Russian forces launched 27 intensive strikes with high-precision weapons and drones, which hit energy facilities supporting the work of the military-industrial complex enterprises in Ukraine, the infrastructure of military airports, and bombed sites for storing and preparing drones before launch.

In addition, ammunition and equipment depots, bases for repairing weapons and military equipment, a military train carrying foreign-made weapons, and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian troops, nationalist formations, and foreign mercenaries were targeted.

Other highlights from the Russian defense report include:

• Units of the “North” group of forces continued the operation to destroy Ukrainian formations on the territory of the Kursk region, during the offensive operations, the villages of Uspenovka and Borki were liberated.
• In the Volchansk and Liptse districts of the Kharkiv region, formations of 5 enemy brigades were struck. The total enemy losses in the area of ​​responsibility of the “North” forces amounted to about 3,510 servicemen, 18 tanks, and included weapons and other equipment.

• Units of the “West” forces group continued to advance deep into the enemy’s defenses and repelled 24 counterattacks, while the enemy lost more than 3,745 soldiers.
• Units of the “South” group of forces liberated the villages of Zhelanoe-Pervoye and Georgievka in Donetsk, struck troops and equipment of 14 Ukrainian brigades, repelled 14 counterattacks, and Ukrainian forces lost more than 4,855 servicemen.
• Units of the “Central” forces group improved their position along the front line, repelling 58 counterattacks, while the enemy’s losses on this axis amounted to about 3,610 soldiers.

• Units of the “East” group of forces took control of more favorable lines and positions, repelled 11 counterattacks, and the enemy lost about 735 soldiers.
• Units of the Dnieper Group of Forces inflicted losses on the enemy amounting to about 355 soldiers.
• The Russian Air Force destroyed 3 Ukrainian fighters in air battles, one MiG-29 and two Su-27s.
• The air defenses shot down a MiG-29 aircraft, 7 US-made ATACMS tactical operational missiles, 12 French-made Hammer guided bombs, 42 HIMARS missiles, and 305 drones, 153 of which were outside the special military operations zone.
• 53 Ukrainian soldiers surrender on the combat contact line
• The total number of destroyed aircraft since the beginning of the special military operation is 646, 283 helicopters, 31,806 drones, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,303 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,457 rocket launchers, 14,903 artillery pieces and mortars, and 26,289 special military vehicles.
