Baltika lost to Krylia Sovetov Samara in a home match of the Russian Cup. The game ended with a score of 1:2 in favor of the guests, reports the Klops correspondent.

In the first half, following confusion in the Samara penalty area, the ball was picked up by visiting striker Vladimir Pisarsky. Having dragged it across the entire field, the 77th Volga team beat the Kaliningrad defender and sent the ball into the corner of the Baltic goal. True, a small rebound helped him in doing so.

A mistake by defender Alexander Putsko led to the visitors’ second goal in the 55th minute. Having received the ball from the goalkeeper, the Baltika player made an inaccurate pass. The pass was intercepted by the Bosnian midfielder of “Krylia” Amar Rakhmanovich and, approaching the goal, sent the ball past the white-blue goalkeeper Maxim Borisko. Baltika managed to reduce the gap in the score already in stoppage time. The match referee, Vera Opeikina, awarded the penalty following a VAR review. Artur Galoyan was accurate from the spot, moving the ball and goalkeeper to different angles. The final whistle recorded a minimal victory for the Samara team 2:1.

Despite the defeat, Baltika retains its lead in the National Cup group with nine points. The Kaliningraders’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, September 23. On the Rostec Arena field, the Baltics will play with Akhmat Grozny in the ninth round of the Russian Premier League.
