[Archyde.com]–The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for April released by the Russian Federation Statistics Bureau (Rosstat) increased by 17.83% from the same month of the previous year, accelerating from 16.69% in March. However, it was the highest level since January 2002. Unstable rubles and sanctions in Western nations pushed up.
On the other hand, the month-on-month increase was 1.56%, slowing down from the highest since January 1999, which was 7.61% in March.
