Russian captain criticizes his country’s decision to invade Ukraine!

Russia captain Artem Dzyuba has said he does not support his country’s launch of war on Ukraine at the present time.

And Artem had faced widespread criticism from some English Premier League players, following his long silence regarding his opinion of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier this week, Everton defender Vitaly Mykolenko criticized Dzyuba, while West Ham winger Andrei Yarmolenko also marveled at the Russian players’ silence, with the Russia captain issuing a sharp response to those asking him to speak.

What did the captain of the Russian national team say?

Dzyuba released his Instagram special, in which the Zenit St Petersburg striker says he is once morest all wars but remains a proud Russian despite the actions of his country’s armed forces in neighboring Ukraine.

“Until recently, I did not want to talk regarding the topic of events in Ukraine,” Dzyuba said.

“I didn’t want to, not because I’m afraid, but because I’m not an expert in politics,” he added.

And he continued: “But like everyone else, I have my own opinion, and since I am required to talk regarding this issue from all sides, I will express it.”

He continued, “I am once morest any war because it is frightening, but I am also once morest human aggression and hatred, which increases and becomes more and more destructive every day.”

And he added: I am once morest discrimination on the basis of nationality, I am not ashamed that I am Russian. I’m proud to be Russian, and I don’t understand why athletes have to struggle now.”

And he added: “Again, war is frightening. In stressful situations, people show their essence, but what is all this anger now pouring out on all Russian people, regardless of their positions and professions, these thousands of people writing insults and threats lined up in line.”

And regarding the criticism of some English Premier League players of him, he said: “Note, and for some colleagues who sit in their palaces in England and say bad things: This cannot offend us, we understand everything, peace and goodness to all.”

Notably, Russia launched a large-scale military attack on Ukraine on Thursday, with heavy fighting raging for a seventh day across the country.
