Russia attributes heavy toll in attacks to Ukrainian errors

At the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council this Friday in New York, Russian representative Vasily Nebenzia attributed the toll of Russian attacks on Ukraine to misuse of Ukrainian air defense systems, which “resulted in the deaths of civilians”did he declare.

He held up a QR code linking to a video that he said showed residential buildings being damaged by Ukrainian air defenses.

Most Security Council members, including the United States, France and Britain, condemned the attacks on Ukraine. China’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, Geng Shuang, did not condemn the attacks but called for a “political solution” to the war in Ukraine.

Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took stock of the consequences of Russia’s massive attack on several Ukrainian cities. “More than 100 private homes were destroyed or damaged, as well as 45 multi-story buildings, schools, two churches, hospitals, a maternity ward and numerous commercial warehouses”, he detailed in a video speechadding that there was “to date, 29 people [qui] lost their lives ».

The toll from the various Ukrainian authorities shows at least thirty victims.
