Russian attacks in kyiv region leave at least two dead

kyiv, Ukraine.— A round of missiles and drones launched during the night from Saturday to Sunday on the kyiv region left at least two dead.

According to the State Emergency Servicethe bodies were found in the rubble after missile fragments fell on a residential area in the Brovary district, a suburb of kyiv. Three other people were injured in the attack.

Serhii Popkohead of the military administration of the city of kyiv, said it was the second attack on kyiv this month.

The ballistic missiles did not reach the capital, but suburbs were hit, while drones heading toward the capital were shot down, Popko said.

The Russian Defence Ministry said 35 drones had been shot down overnight over the Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk and Oryol regions.

Thirteen people were injured when a Ukrainian missile shot down by Russian air defenses struck a residential building in Kursk overnight, acting governor Vladimir Putin said on Telegram. Alexei Smirnov.

Ukraine has not commented on the attack in Russia, but has stepped up attacks on Russian territory in recent weeks.
