On Saturday, attacks had already set fire to several buildings in the city center. A community kitchen that prepared food for the inhabitants was also destroyed.

Before the attacks on Sunday, regional governor Oleg Sinegoubov announced that he had registered three dead and 31 wounded – including four children – in Saturday’s attacks.
On Friday, he said 10 people were killed and 35 wounded in another russian bombing over a residential area of Kharkiv.
Seven civilians were also killed and 27 wounded when the Russians fired on an evacuation bus in the region, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office.
Kharkov, the country’s second largest city with 1.5 million inhabitants before the war, has been the target of violent clashes for several days at the start of the offensive. It remains under the control of Ukrainian forces.
