Russia tried to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but failed.
The British Independent reported on the 2nd (local time) that the Ukrainian army had stopped the Russian army’s plan to assassinate President Zelensky, borrowing the words of Ukrainian authorities.
The attempt to assassinate President Zelensky was carried out by Chechen special forces, according to Ukrainian officials. The Chechen Special Forces, called the ‘Devil’s Force’, are said to have been recently deployed to Ukraine by President Ramzan Kadyrov of the Chechen Autonomous Republic, close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A Ukrainian official told The Independent that “a Chechen special forces unit was eliminated”. The Chechen special forces were divided into two groups, one of which was said to have been wiped out in the Hostomel region near the capital Kyiv. Another group is under surveillance by Ukrainian military authorities, officials said.

Ukraine’s National Security Council (NSC) Chairman Olegsi Danilov said: “Information regarding the scheme of the Chechen special forces assassination attempt was obtained from anti-war agents of the Russian Federal Security Service.” It is alleged that Russian intelligence was used to prevent the assassination of President Zelensky.
President Zelensky has been showing heroic leadership, such as directly at the forefront of defense of the capital Kyiv following the Russian invasion. In a video address to the European Parliament on the 1st, he said, “We will prove our strength. Our motivation is clear. No one can bring us down. We just want our children to live. The light is It will overcome the darkness,” he said.
