Russian and Chinese ships monitor enemy submarines in the waters of the Asia-Pacific region

The press office of the Russian Pacific Fleet said in a statement: “Russian and Chinese ships carried out exercises to counter a hostile missile attack in the Pacific region.”

The statement indicated that the Russian and Chinese ships carried out the firing within the framework of air defense and anti-submarine defense exercises, and a detachment of ships in the specified area searched for a hypothetical enemy submarine and trained to pursue it.

To destroy the “enemy” submarine, the crews of the Russian ships used RBO 6000 rocket launchers.

After that, the crews of the Russian Navy and the Chinese Navy trained on the task of repelling an air missile attack by the enemy, and “Kingal” anti-aircraft missiles carried on the ship were launched, and the ships also used jamming systems to distance the forces from any missile attack.

A few days ago, a group of Russian and Chinese ships began joint patrols in the Asia-Pacific region after participating in the “Baibo/Cooperation-2024” exercises.

On the Russian side, the two large anti-submarine ships “Admiral Panteleev” and “Admiral Tributes” of the Pacific Fleet participated in the tactical group, and on the Chinese naval forces were the destroyers “Xining” and “Xi,” the frigate “Lin Yi,” and the supply ship “Taihu.”
