Canada – The Russian Ambassador to Ottawa, Oleg Stepanov, confirmed that the Russian authorities will reply to the brand new sanctions imposed by the Canadian authorities on the Russian Federation.
Stepanov informed Novosti: “Our response will comply with the precept of reciprocity.” In response to him, the brand new sanctions imposed by Canada are justified by baseless accusations and slander, including that Russia doesn’t care regarding these clarifying steps.
The Canadian authorities stated Ottawa imposed sanctions on 13 “high-ranking representatives” from Russian investigative businesses, police and the jail system in reference to the loss of life of Russian opposition chief Alexei Navalny.
It said in a press release printed on its web site that “the people topic to sanctions are senior officers and workers of the Russian Investigative Committee and the Jail and Police Service.”
