[Athens, 26th Archyde.com]–The Greek government announced on the 26th that Russian troops bombed the city of Mariupol in eastern Ukraine, killing 10 Greeks and injuring 6 others.

Greek Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis posted on Twitter, “Innocent Greeks were killed today by Russian airstrikes near Mariupol. Stop the bombing now!”

According to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the bombing took place in the suburbs of Sultana and Bugas, and one of the injured was a child.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has accused the airstrikes of targeting civilians. He urged Russia to immediately stop air strikes and attacks on civilians.

He said he requested the Russian ambassador to come to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 28th.

Mariupol is home to thousands of Greeks.
