Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Navy will have the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile from January. Russia has developed a highly capable cruise missile in recent years. The test was successful. Following this, Putin stated that the missile will be placed on the Admiral Gorshov, a warship of the Russian Navy.
In a meeting with high-ranking officials, Russian President Putin himself clarified the commissioning of the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile. “Zircon hypersonic cruise missile, which has no equal in the world, will be installed on Russia’s naval ship Admiral Gorshev by January,” Puthil said.
Admiral Gorshev is Russia’s warship. The Zircon hypersonic cruise missile is capable of hitting a target at a distance of 1,000 km. Zircon was first tested in October 2020.
It is also noteworthy that Russia is planning to install more weapons in the background of its attempts to invade Ukraine. Russia faced a heavy blow from Ukraine in the confrontation.
