Kyiv receives four excavators and 130 generators from the US to combat power outages

Kyiv has received machinery and generators from the United States to help bolster the city’s electrical infrastructure amid huge power deficits across the country.
The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, stated that Kyiv “has received machinery and generators from the US government for the operation of boilers and heat supply stations.”
The USAID-led Energy Security Project delivered four bulldozers and more than 130 generators to help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure, Klitschko said on Telegram. All equipment was free.
The excavators “have already been delivered and will soon be put to work,” added the mayor.
The new equipment will allow the authorities “to quickly and efficiently excavate the soil, and thus speed up the completion of emergency works,” he said.
The generators were shipped to boiler rooms, combined heat and power plants, and heat supply stations.
“This year 11 kilometers of heating networks damaged by rocket attacks have been replaced,” Klitschko added.
