Russia-Ukraine War News: Putin congratulates Russian Defense Minister and troops on online meeting following Mariupol victory

Russia-Ukraine War News: Kyiv: Ukrainian troops with last-ditch resistance in the port city of Mariupol. Yesterday, President Vladimir Putin claimed that Mariupol had been released following weeks of bombings and that Russian troops had won.

But the United States has denied Putin’s allegations, saying “Ukraine’s military has been on the run.” Russia has demanded the surrender of Ukrainian troops, but they have refused.

Ukraine has also said that Putin’s efforts are aimed at avoiding a final confrontation. Ukraine also blamed Russia for the lack of troops. Ukrainian authorities have called for help in rescuing civilians and wounded soldiers trapped in Mariupol.

Putin praised the Russian defense minister and the military at an online meeting following his victory over Mariupol. Putin said it was unnecessary to attack the industrial area, which includes the Azovstal steel plant.
