Kiev ∙ Russia’s heavy attack on the ports of Ukraine. The attack intensified following Russia withdrew from the Black Sea Grain Export Agreement.

A fuel storage facility in Odessa was also attacked. A fire broke out in the port of Mykolaiv. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have shot down 6 Russian missiles and 31 drones.

Russia withdrew from the grain export agreement following the attack on the Kerch bridge in Crimea, which is crucial to the movement of Russian troops into Ukraine. This is a UN-brokered agreement for grain exports from Ukraine following the war began. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Russia’s withdrawal from the accord was a “huge blow” and would lead to starvation around the world.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that troops had advanced 2 kilometers in the northeastern region. It is near the railway hub of Kupyansk, which Ukraine recaptured from Russia last year.
