[モスクワ 3日 ロイター] – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that he preferred a “balanced” approach to the issue of the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine rather than emotions.
Heikh Kadyrov of the southern Chechen Republic answered questions from reporters at an online briefing last weekend regarding his criticism of the Russian military command and calling for the use of “small nuclear weapons”.
“This is a moment that evokes very strong emotions. Local chiefs have the right to express their opinions,” Peskov said. Emotions should be eliminated,” he said. “We prefer to stick to a balanced and objective assessment,” he said.
He explained that the basis for Russia’s use of nuclear weapons is set in the nuclear doctrine, and that “there is no judgment other than that.”
