Ukraine claims to have smuggled nuclear material from the Russian – controlled Chernobyl nuclear plant. Among the stolen items were more than 1,000 computers, trucks and dosimeters used to measure nuclear radiation levels inside the plant.

No damage to nuclear equipment. Chernobyl director Vitaly Medvedev said the Russian occupation of the plant alone had cost millions.

The decommissioned Chernobyl plant is located on the border with Belarus. Russian troops withdrew on March 31 following five weeks in custody.
