Russia assured this Tuesday (07.05.2022) that a part of the weapons delivered by Western countries to Ukraine have ended up on the black market or in Middle Eastern countries, but did not present any evidence to support its allegation.
Western countries have delivered tanks, artillery pieces and other military equipment to Ukraine to deal with the Russian military invasion.
According to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, the West has delivered more than 28,000 tons of weapons to Ukraine with the aim of “prolonging the conflict” and bleeding Russia dry.
“Some foreign weapons that the West is supplying to Ukraine are spreading through the Middle East region and also entering the black market,” he said in a televised speech.
After facing fierce resistance in northern Ukraine and around kyiv, Russia concentrated its forces in the east, where it has scored several victories in recent days and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered his troops to continue the offensive. Moscow wants to take control of the entire Donbass region.
Russian attacks “will continue until the objectives set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief (Putin) are completely hit,” Shoigu said.
