The headline explained that these actions will allow a greater advance in the positions in the siege of the mentioned city to be achieved later.

The military also reported that this new step allowed the liberation of the important industrial complex located in the region, which provides a privileged position for Russian troops that can control many movements of their enemies from there.

As reported last Saturday by the commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces, Aleksander Syrski, his troops continue fighting in the area trying to gain time to accumulate reserves prior to the spring counteroffensive.

However, since February the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, had made it known that Russian troops had taken the main positions in Artiomovsk.

This is a city on the side of Donetsk that is still controlled by Ukraine, important above all because it is one of the main supply routes for Kiev’s troops in Donbas.
