Lavrov ignites a crisis with Israel by talking regarding “Hitler’s Judaism”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov ignited a crisis with Israel following he compared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, by noting that the two men had “Jewish roots.”
Lavrov was asked during an interview with an Italian television channel regarding the Russian description of the goal of “uprooting Nazism”, despite the fact that its president is Jewish, and he said that this does not undermine the goal declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin, noting that “Zelensky may actually be a Jew, but Adolf Hitler He also had Jewish blood.”
