The Russian space agency, Roscosmos, announced that one of the new Russian communications satellites has been laid In its specified space orbit, noting that the satellite will work for the operating company following completing its flight tests.
And the Russia Today website quoted the Foundation as saying in a statement: “The Russian (Express AMU3) satellite succeeded in reaching its required fixed orbit around the Earth following it was developed by the Reshetnyov Company in cooperation with Russian experts, explaining that this satellite was launched into space on the thirteenth of May. Last December, with the Russian “Express AMU Seven” satellite, the launch was carried out from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, using a Russian-made missile.
The statement added, following the moon reached its orbit, the experts of the Russian Space Agency and the experts who contributed to its development began testing the equipment on board, and a process of testing its systems was also conducted while it was traveling in space to reach orbit.
It is noteworthy that Russia has developed since the 1990s several models of Express satellites to be used as communications satellites to secure radio and television broadcasts, secure some areas of the Earth with a high-speed Internet network, as well as transmit data to Russia and some CIS countries.
