Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that Russia outperforms his country in “equipment”.

“Our defenders are showing the utmost courage and are still in control of the situation at the front despite the fact that the Russian army has a huge advantage in terms of equipment and numbers,” he said in a speech late at night.

He also added that his country’s forces have made progress near the southern city of Kherson and are advancing in parts of the Kharkiv region, east of Kyiv.

The Ukrainian State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection said in a statement that there was an unspecified interference by Russia, in which the equipment was turned off and the cables were disconnected.
