Russia – Russia is developing electronic components that will protect devices carried by military equipment from electromagnetic radiation.
A source at Roselectronica, as a branch of the Russian state corporation Rostec, said: “We are developing a new generation of ceramic chip filters to protect devices from directed electromagnetic radiation. The experimental batch of the developed devices has passed the tests and fully confirmed the specifications that were previously announced.”
According to the source, the new electronic components will be used when developing and modernizing new field electronics, as well as the electronic systems carried by military and special equipment.
He explained that his company is now preparing to launch a batch of chip filters to confirm the possibility of their serial industrial production.
It is noteworthy that the powerful electromagnetic pulse capable of disconnecting or disabling unprotected devices arises implicitly during a nuclear explosion. Moreover, a number of countries, including the United States, are developing new munitions that, if they explode, can generate an electromagnetic pulse that strikes enemy electronics. Military systems for directed electromagnetic radiation are also being developed.
