Russia: Intercepted Ukrainian drones, one south of Moscow

Russian air defense systems intercepted Ukrainian remote control unmanned aerial vehicle south of Moscowwithout reporting any injuries or damage from the debris, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sabianin, announced in the early hours of the morning via Telegram.

Mr. Sabianin clarified that the drone was shot down in Padolsk regiona short distance from Moscow.

At the same time, the governor of Bryansk, which neighbors Ukraine, announced that they were shot down three Ukrainian UAVs, also without reporting casualties or damage, while in Belgorod, which also neighbors Ukraine, two were shot down, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Ukraine has escalated attacks with UAVs, targeting Russian energy infrastructure, especially refineries. Since the beginning of the year, Russia’s fuel refining capacity has fallen by 15%, a NATO official estimated in early April
