Russian deputies voted on Tuesday a law providing for the increase of the age limit for compulsory military service, which passes from 27 to 30 years, while the armed conflict with Ukraine enters its 18th month.
“From January 1, 2024, citizens aged 18 to 30 will be called up for military service”, according to this law adopted at second and then third reading by the Duma, the lower house of the Russian Parliament, the most important stage of the legislative process in the country.
